The beginning of Disneyworld came from the cartoonist Walt Disney. His initial cartoons were made for children, and were based around characters such as Mickey Mouse. As this concept grew, children and adults quickly began to move forward with the different world of entertainment. By the 1950s, the first Disneyworld began to be initialized. Specifically, the concept of having a theme park was built. This was introduced in Anheim, California as Disney Land.

As the idea of having a theme park grew, Disneyworld also became a popular part of the idea of inventing a different world. Shortly after Disney Land became a major theme park, a second park was built in Orlando, Florida. This began in the year 1963, and was launched with an initial theme park that was based around the characters of Mickey Mouse. The decision for this location was based on the traffic that was going to Disney Land, most which was coming from the Southern United States. From this, the Florida project of Disneyworld was able to launch.

Disneyworld didn't officially launch when Walt Disney was alive, but continued to move under construction through the 1960s. This included moving theme park rides and materials over 20,000 acres of land. The first plans that moved forward consistently was the EPCOT center, which included a vision of introducing knowledge of technology, the future and cultures from around the world as a part of Disneyworld. This continued with introducing new studios in the area.

The most recent construction of Disneyworld did not expand until more recent years. EPCOT center officially launched in 1982. By 1989, the Disney MGM studios became a part of the theme parks in order to introduce the movies and television, as well as the entertainment that is a part of Disneyworld. In more recent years, four other major theme parks were introduced around the area. With each of these is a theme that relates to certain concepts for education, combined with entertainment for the family.

The rich history of Disneyworld is one that has brought a new understanding of specific ideas into a world of magic.
